Deal Tri put out a squad of 65 Seniors and a fantastic 9 Juniors for our annual Dinosaur 10k and Junior 1.5k races.
1st Womens team overall was Deal Tri, with Abbie Kirkham, Lisa Buckler and Katie Hinkins. Deal Tri mens team came 2nd overall with Ash Roberts-Moyle, Ben McGhee, Jacob Scrivener and Lee Ireland.
Ash was our first male finisher, coming 9th overall, and Abbie Kirkham our first female finisher and 1st female overall, in an incredibly quick field.
Special mentions to members:- oldest finisher, Rod Smith, and our oldest female Jackie Wastell
– Tina Barton won the female over 65 category- Dad Rich Eland and his son Connor (Junior member) did their first 10k with us
– Sarah King who ran her first Dino with her partner Luke McNicholas pacing with her
– Four of our winter Couch to 5k ladies also experienced the Dinosaur as their first 10k. Alex McGill and Michelle Hocking joined Deal Tri after finishing C25k and have continued to run with another member Sam Prior, who has inspired them to the next step.
– Other first timers or PB-ers in the Dino Orange Train were Emma Chalkey, Phil Richards, Tash Miller, Anthony Sheehan, Claire Gartland-Marsh, amongst many others who came away with a bit of exhaustion and a lot of pride in their achievement.

Deal Tri have a competitive element but the majority of our members enjoy their sport without competing – there’s room for all of that, and everything in between.
