Saturday round up, 24 May

In amongst all the quality training that’s going on, there’s always room for a parkrun!

Jenny Rayment got hers in early – on Thursday! She’s training for Berlin marathon, the same as Ashley Roberts-Moyle, who’s signed up for the marathon distance at the Clifftop Challenge (entry closes next Friday, if you’re interested).

Annette Nixon went further away, to Chester for a family run.

At Walmer and Deal Seafront parkrun, 30 members took part, including Karen Price, who is on a rehab programme at the moment and walked the route. Anita Pollard hit her 100th parkrun milestone today, thats just over 2 years worth. We also had 8 members in the volunteer team.

Two members, Brad Harvey and Simon Tse, took part at Dover Waterfront, in the pouring rain, and Mark Baker was the sole Dealie at Pegwell Bay parkrun this week.

Tina Barton completed her monthly half marathon, and Jared Magrath was up very early to get just under that distance done before breakfast.

Next week is Chase the Pacer at Walmer and Deal Seafront parkrun, so if you fancy chasing one for a target time, come and find us!

Parkrun is free to everyone – just sign up online, screenshot your barcode, choose your parkrun and turn up at 8.50 to run at 9, every Saturday.

It’s as social and (non-)competitive as you want it to be – same as Deal Tri – give one or both of us a try 🧡
