On one of the calmest, and perhaps warmest, Thursday evenings, or indeed any evening, I have known at Betteshanger, 47 club members and guests embarked on the third and final 10 mile Bike Time Trial.
This event saw both our Club TT championship and the finale of the 2026 TT league. First Deal Tri Club man home, Martin O’Grady in a time of 23:04 was crowned Club TT champion for 2026 with Annette Nixon taking the women’s title in a time of 25:05, taking over a minute off her previous best this year.
The TT league was fiercely contested, based on points awarded from all 3 rounds, Annette took the trophy for the women and Graeme Rawlings lead the men to first place.
I would like to thank Ashford Tri Club for using this event as their own club TT. Fastest finisher for Ashford was Alex Milne in a time of 22:10 and the fastest lady was Claire Brooker in 30:10
I know without the support of all the marshals over the last 3 events it wouldn’t have been possible to stage them and I would like to thank each one for giving up their time to support the events, I know the participants are very appreciative of everyone spending their Thursday evenings at Betteshanger.

The final TT this year is a 25-mile event, also at Betteshanger on Thursday 10th September, with a slightly early start time of 18:00. Registration details are on the website, I hope to see many of you there.
