London Marathon – Club ballot place draw

If the Club is lucky enough to receive a club place for 2026’s TCS London Marathon, a draw will take place at the Handicap 5 mile event on the 7th December 2025 to determine the recipient.

To be eligible for the draw you must meet the club’s criteria, which govern the eligibility of Deal Tri club members for entry into the club’s annual draw to receive a place in the 2026 TCS London Marathon.

All criteria must be met before entry into the draw is made.

• You must be a paying member of Deal Tri Club for the 2025 membership year i.e. you made payment for the current membership year before or on the 30th April 2025.
• You must have renewed your membership for the 2026 membership year before the draw takes place on the 1st December 2025.
• You must have paid the England Athletics affiliation fee for the 2025 membership year i.e. you made payment for EA affiliation before or on the 31st May 2025.
• You must commit to pay the England Athletics affiliation fee for the 2026 membership year i.e. you commit to making payment for EA affiliation before the 31st May 2026. The cost of EA affiliation is £20.00.
• You must have fulfilled your marshalling duty at a Deal Tri event during the period 18th December 2024 to 1st December 2025.
• You must have applied for a ballot 2026 TCS London Marathon place in April 2025 and been rejected. You must produce the rejection slip (white slip received with the 2026 TCS London Marathon rejection magazine) or rejection email upon request.
• You must not have received a club place for the 2025 TCS London Marathon in the 2024 annual draw, held in December 2024.

Expectations

If you are successful in the draw, you must pay your entry fee. Your entry is not transferrable: it may not be traded or used by another athlete in your stead. If you do not wish to use the place prior to paying the entry fee then it will be passed to a reserve also drawn on the 7th December 2025. If you find yourself injured or unable to take part and have paid then you can defer your place to the following year.

On race day you are expected to wear official Deal Tri club kit: modified sportswear (i.e. singlet/tee with Deal Tri logo embellishment) is unacceptable.
