RNLI Walmer cheque presentation

On May 9th 2026, we held a cuppa and cake/savoury event (in exchange for suggested donations) after parkrun at Walmer and Deal Seafront.

It’s an annual fundraiser for our neighbours at RNLI Walmer, and some of our Club members are RNLI volunteers.

The initial totting up had the amount raised as an incredible £926 – which wasn’t a round enough number for us, so there were some more donations – and the final total is £1016!

We are so grateful to everyone who baked or bought goods for us, to everyone who enjoyed their snacks and donated, and also to RNLI Walmer for doing such an important job – we appreciate you (not so keen you being thrashed by you at rounders!).

We will be presenting them with a cheque on Sunday 24 May, at 1045 at the Lifeboat station, after a social run, and then have coffee afterwards along the prom at Hut 55.
