East Invicta masters’ swim gala 2026 – No normal swim session
This gala takes place in our pool so there will be no normal swim coaching this evening.
From Torren: “Here are the rules regarding exiting the pool for relay swimmers competing at East Invicta on Saturday: swimmers should exit the pool via the steps as quickly as possible once they have finished but not impede other competitors. The last swimmer should wait until all teams have finished and only exit the pool, again via the steps, once instructed by the official.”

It does not show the heat numbers, but you can see which event number you are in. The heats do not get allocated until the day.
If we can meet up at 4pm please and get straight through to pool side as soon as they let us. I will have a beautiful orange masters Tshirt for you to wear for the evening, and Sally will have some Deal Tri caps that can be bought for £5 each. I would recommend wearing a Deal Tri swim cap if you can. It makes it easier for your team mates to cheer you on – and it may encourage the goggles to stay put.
You can dive in or start in the water – whatever you prefer!
Remember your water bottle and maybe a second towel.
Please let Jax know you are here – we have to submit a register by 4.15. I don’t know what we do with the relays if we have No Shows!
IT WILL BE FUN!!!!! There are nibbles and drinks afterwards in Studio 3 for the presentations and thank yous.

We have our own dedicated whip Jax – she will help insure you are at the right place at the right time. But it would help if you are prepared too. There will be lots of print outs – remember the reading glasses.

This “proper” masters gala is for all our senior Deal Tri members who are ASA registered. Details of how this was done are here https://www.dealtri.co.uk/news/a-s-a-membership/
We compete against other clubs, either in individual events or part of the club relay team. You have chosen and paid for your individual events (£5 per event) and Jax and I have sorted out the relay teams. (Club pays) The older you are the better!!
It is great fun and there are loads and loads of medal!
2026 East Invicta Masters Swimming Championships
Dover Leisure Centre, Saturday April 18th Warm Up: 1615hrs – Start: 1700hrs
The 2026 EIASA Masters Championships will take place at Dover Leisure Centre on Saturday April 18th. Trophies for the Top Swimmers and Best Club will be presented in Dance Studio 3 (under the stairs beside the squash courts) – This will take place as soon as practicable after the last event. There will also be a finger buffet and light refreshments for all competitors and for those who helped to run the gala.

- Entry to the balcony will be £3 for spectators – children will be free. Hard copy start lists will be printed once heats have been seeded. These will be available at the entrance control approximately 10 minutes before the start.
