Swim Training Schedules

Swims cost £5 per session, or a book of 10 tickets can be bought for £45. Payment can be made in cash or via bank transfer

important dates for 2026

Tuesday Swimming  7-8pm  2025/26 Seniors only

  • Every Tuesday throughout the year  – except between Christmas and the new Year as the pool is shut and we can’t break in!
  •  4 lanes  –  a range of abilities coached by Darren.
  • No booking required
  • Darren Beeching has taken over  the regular Tuesday training sessions. He is doing well and the session is popular.   Darren is a great swimmer and qualified coach. He has been involved with the club on and off for many years. He has successfully run the Development Session on Saturday for the last few years and in the dim and distant past he originally coached  our Tuesday sessions!  Darren’s  approach is that of a “Multi-stroke” method including skills, drills as well as distance, as he believes this to be the best way to improve and develop a swimmer’s performance. Don’t worry there is still lots of distance for those that want it!  Darren is also  catering for the less elite and less endurance minded members too and so we are encouraging the “Saturday swimmers”  to step up and give it a go.    
    • To quote Darren he wishes to – “becoming instrumental in developing a squad of successful triathlon and masters swimmers.”

Saturday Swimming 6-7pm 2026 Juniors & Seniors

Every Saturday during school term times only. We have to reschedule – cancel or run at a different times – when the pool is closed for external galas – this is frustrating so keep an eye here or on our calendar.

  • Torren coaches 2 lanes of senior swimmers. He is a qualified level 2 teacher.  Torren has been the backbone of our swimming instruction for many years now. He is a great teacher, approachable and friendly.
  • Ellie and Phil coach 2 lanes of Juniors.  Our youngsters are very well looked after. – fun in the water & learn to swim! How lucky are we?
  • No booking required.

Saturday Development Swim   

Development swim short courses start regularly and are coached by Darren.

The last 7 week session Number 34 started January 17th and finished 28th Feb. 

We have a small break from development around Easter and there will be 2 sessions with an extra senior lane with special diving/turning instruction. No booking necessary.

The next 6 week session Number 35 will start 11th April, we will be disrupted again due to external galas using our pool

These sessions must be booked and paid for in advance and are nonrefundable. Still great value!
