DESCRIPTION:Click here for the Senior 10k page.\nThis 1.5k Junior race is for ages 4-14 and is a popular race for young people new to running\, along with more experienced young runners.\nEvery finisher gets a medal\, and there are awards for 1st boy finisher and 1st girl finisher in these age groups: \n6 and under – 7 to 8 – 9 to 10 – 11 to 12 and 13 to 14. \nPlease remember that runners may finish behind or in front of someone else\, but still have first/second/third or subsequent placing\, due to different age groupings running at the same time. \nEntry \nClick here for Junior 1.5k entry. \nAdvance entry for this race is managed entirely online by Sport Systems Limited. \nJunior race online entry (closes 23/07/2027 at 12 noon)       £4 (+£0.84 Service Fee) \nOn the day entries (if available – not guaranteed)                    £5 cash only \nPlease follow our Instagram @dealtriofficial and/or our public Facebook page – if all Junior places are taken\, we will publish on those pages – check directly with us to avoid disappointment. \nDeal Tri would like to thank all the sponsors and entrants who make these events possible. \nRace Start Times \nThe Junior race will commence at the new start time of 0915. \nRace Location \nThe Junior race starts and finishes on Deal Seafront\, near the 2nd Deal Sea Scouts building\, Marine Road\, Deal\, Kent\, CT147DN. \nRace HQ \nThe Race HQ will be at the 2nd Deal Sea Scout building on Deal seafront (w3w ref. ///duck.voters.spot). \nParking \nCar parking is available in the Middle Street Pay & Display Car park in Deal town centre (w3w ref: ///tides.fines.foster)\, the Borrow Pit Car Park in Walmer (w3w ref: ///swooning.glitter.refutes) and on local roads in Deal & Walmer – please park responsibly and avoid inconveniencing local residents. \nToilets \nPublic toilets are available very close to race HQ on Marine Road (w3w ref: ///composers.faded.recall) and in Deal town centre (w3w ref: ///stop.gently.tall). Public toilets are also available on the race route itself (w3w ref: ///personal.cropping.reinforce & ///shifts.minority.overnight). \nChanging Facilities \nThere are no changing facilities available at Race HQ so please arrive ready to run. \nBag Drop \nYou are welcome to leave your bag at Race HQ\, however this is done at your own risk and discretion. The event team will not handle your bags and you will be responsible for labelling them clearly. \nRace Number Collection & Registration  \nRace HQ opens at 0800 for collection of race numbers and registration of on-the-day entries (if available). Your race number must be worn on the front of your shirt only: do not attach your number on your legs or back or you may not receive an accurate time. Please make sure that you do not damage the chip as this may impact your recorded race time. \nPlease note that only the person to whom the race number is issued may wear that race number. Any unauthorised transfers are strictly prohibited; it is vitally important that we know who is running on the course in the event of a medical emergency. \nPlease ensure that you complete your medical and emergency contact details on the reverse of your race number and mark the front of your bib with a cross (pens can be found at Race HQ) if you have a medical condition that first aiders should be aware of in the event of an emergency. This is a racing requirement. \nRules And Permits \nThe event will be run under UKA rules. The race permit\, course measurement certificate and risk assessment will be on display at race HQ on the day of the event. \nSafety \nThis event is being held in accordance with the requirements for UKA licensing\, therefore athletes must not be accompanied by cyclists or dogs on any part of the course. All runners are asked to please follow the marshals’ instructions during the race. \nThis event is held along the public pathway\, therefore it is essential that athletes remain aware of their surroundings at all times. In line with this requirement\, the wearing of all headphones\, save for the types specifically approved by England Athletics (i.e.\, bone conducting headphones)\, is forbidden. \nCourse \nStarting on Deal seafront\, the course heads south towards the bandstand\, there is a cone and marshall for the 180 degree turn back to the finish. \nDrinks \nThere will be a well-stocked water station at the start/finish.  Hut 55 will open for drinks and snacks. \nFirst Aid \nMargate Ambulance Corps will be in attendance for the duration of the race to provide first aid.
