DESCRIPTION:Location: Dover – Samphire Hoe \nOrganiser – Sue Bolton \n30th June 2026 \nTime – 7pm gun time – arrive by 6.30pm at the latest as the barrier will close at 6.45pm. \nFor general information about the relays\, click here \nStart point \nSamphire Hoe\, off the A20 between Dover and Folkestone – once parked\, follow the path down past the tower on to the sea wall. \nParking: \nThere is very limited parking at Samphire Hoe.  Please car share.   \nPayment in donation bucket\, to fund the upkeep of the area. \nToilets: \nThere will be portaloos at the Start (the permanent toilets at the visitor building are not connected to mains\, and cannot be used for an event with a lot of people) \nRoute \nhttps://www.plotaroute.com/route/2842233 – KEEP LEFT at all times. \nFirst Aid and water station \nAt the start/finish. \nPre-race briefing \n\nPaths are shared the public. Give plenty of room and do not force others off the path.\nRun on the left where possible to avoid getting in each other’s way.\nFollow any instructions given by the marshals.\nRunners coming in to hand over the baton\, slow down before the handover point to avoid running into other runners on the hand over line.\nKeep the hand over area clear\, only stand in the area if you are ready to receive the baton. Runners shall be coming in at pace and need room to slow down.\nOnce a runner has handed over the baton\, please move out of the area swiftly.\nIf you feel unwell or see someone in distress\, report to a marshal.\nNo earphones so you can hear what is around you. Also\, there may be crowded parts on the course\, and earphones may be a distraction.\nBe aware of vehicles at any point. Marshals shall be present to call out vehicles. Run on the right hand side to keep clear of cars and other people. Make sure you do not put yourself or others at risk by running out or jostling for position in front of traffic
