Deal Tri host a number of races throughout the year as well as providing a variety of training sessions throughout the week. Training sessions are intended for all abilities but if you're at all unsure please get in touch with the Run Captain for more information. There are many different ability runners within the club so if you're looking for a running partner or group to run with take a look on the forum and post a thread to see who's going out in your area.

Wednesday Track - speed training session by coach Kev Brown, suitable for all abilities. £1 for this session to contribute to track hire fee. These take place in Canterbury during the Winter months on astro and Walmer cricket ground after Easter (no charge during the Summer).

Thursday Run from Marke Wood - in the Winter coach Kev Brown runs hill reps and in the Summer months this is a social 1 hour off-road run. Both sessions are free and suitable for all abilities - if you're very new to running please get in touch first.

Friday Junior Running - in Winter this session takes place at Walmer School and in Summer from Warden House fields. Get in touch with the Junior Captain HERE for more information. This is free for members and £1 for guests. Parents are required to stay during the session (and are free to participate too!!)

Sunday social run - this is a longer run, usually between 1.5-2 hours, generally off-road and at a steady pace for most abilities - faster runners loop out and back. Bring along a drink to run with and facilities are available for tea and coffee afterwards.

Bra Run - organised by Sally Scoggins, this 5k fun run to raise money for Breast Cancer Care takes place along Deal/Walmer sea front on January 1st each year. A great way to start the year!

Deal Half Marathon - formerly the Dover Half Marathon this race has recently relocated to start at Fowlmead Country Park and takes a course through the local villages around Deal.

Summer 5k Series - this is a series of 4 races take place at Fowlmead Country Park on the last Friday of the months of May-August at 7pm. There's also a Junior 1500m race starting around 6.45pm. More information about the 2011 series to follow.

Dinosaur 10k - organised by Simon Read, this race takes place primarily on the Deal/Walmer sea front before heading inland to loop through Kingsdown and back onto the prom. This race is organised in memory of club founder Roger Francis-Darby and profits given to the Skin Cancer Charity and Deal Regatta as it takes place during Regatta week in the Summer.

Deal 5 Miler - organised by Tony Jones, this is a fast PB race which takes place between Deal and Walmer castles during November.

Target Races and Championship Race - as a club we target a few external races and try to get a good turn out as a club as a whole. The races are well known to the club and are a good way to meet other club runners. One race each year is chosen as the Championship race which qualifies for the club shield each year. Saxon Shore Relay - a firm favourite with the cross country lovers, this is the full version of the Coastal Relay. The Club will be entering a few teams so get your name down if you're interested - see link.

Social Runs - through the year the club organise informal social runs which are posted on the main News page and Forum threads. These are another great opportunity to meet other club runners and families in an informal environment. Keep an eye on the forum for the latest information and make suggestions if there's something you think people might like to do.
Any suggestions for training sessions, races or ways to improve what we do as a club are always very welcome by the committee. Anyone is welcome to attend the committee meetings that take place every month or send your comments and suggestions by email to one of the committee from the Contacts page.
