Deal Tri Fourth Coastal Run Relay
by Gary Holmes on 24/08/10 at 7:43 am
Come and have fun with your friends on the Fourth Deal Tri Coastal Relay.
HERE IS THE EVENT PAGE
The race is from The Valiant Sailor in Folkestone to The Chequers , Deal, following mainly the Saxon Shore route on September 19th 2010. The course is 18.25 miles broken up into 2-3 mile sections. Each runner would do 2 legs
A car driven by each team would drop off the next runner, pick up the runner that had just finished and move to the next point. (Written directions are available for you to recce the route before hand or given to you at the start – download from Event Page)
Teams can be made up of mixed, all female or male and a handicap would be given based on your running times for 2009/10
This hopefully would mean all teams would come in at about the same time. So all teams would have a fair chance of winning. All you need is a car and 4 friends over the age of 18 and enjoy a bit of a challenge. You must be able to run 2-3 miles cross country. Hot food should be available at the end for around £5.00 a head. Trophies for 1st mixed & 1st all male/female team in.
This is a self navigating fun run, there are no marshals or water stops. All water and provisions are to be carried by yourself or the car.
So if you think your up for something a bit different, fantastic views and don’t mind rushing about a bit, this for you. So get yourself a team together, you may wish to use the same team as before or if you are on your own and would like to join a team, e-mail Simon or leave a message on the Forum Thread.
