NCPH Winter Duathlon 14th March

Good weather at last is forecast for the next round of our NCPH Club and Friends Duathlon ……….PLEASE. Further good news is that we have the added bonus of Science In Sport (SIS) sending an expert to give us a talk on Sports Nutrition and Diet after the race finishes. This talk is open to all members whether you race the duathlon or not, so why not come over and help out at the race, or go for a nice off road run if you don’t fancy the duathlon (why ever not, though!), prior to the 11:00 talk start.
The March 14th race will follow the familiar format, arrive latest 08:45 (after paying £1.00 car parking, please!), for a prompt 09:00 start. 1 lap run, 5 laps cycle, 1 lap run, approx 1 hour of fast safe fun on the Fowlmead Country Park circuit. Click the link Fowlmead have a nice new website. Cost is £1.00 for members, £3.00 non members for day membership. Time bonus could be awarded for competitors bringing cakes and treats! If you are racing please let us know via the Forum thread so we can plan.
These races are suitable for ALL members, of all abilities and a great introduction to multi-sport racing in a very safe environment. Relay teams are most welcome, so team up with a runner or cyclist if you don’t feel you can do the whole race.
