Below are various links to local business, clubs and other interesting sites which we feel may interest members.  Deal Tri cannot endorse the services offered, so best talk to the companies or check out feedback from fellow members.  Many of the companies and business listed may offer Deal Tri members a discount or special service so mention Deal Tri when using them.

Governing Bodies and Organisations
British Triathlon Federation  We are a triathlon and multi sports club, so we start at the BTF. A good site for race information, rules etc. Deal Tri are members

British Cycling Federation    The internationally recognised governing body of cycle sport in the UK.  Deal Tri are members.

Cycling Time Trials   The National Governing Body for Cycle Time Trials in England & Wales. Deal Tri are members

UKA - UK Athletics   News, events and sport information including major athletics events, sports tickets, athletics clubs and training information. From our point of view Running Licenses and London Marathon places.

Swim Service and Training
Swim-Tech Graham Williams  Graham Williams is Deal Tris Saturday Coach and has helped us all with his in depth technical sessions. Graham lists Swim Stroke Correction and Triathlon Swim Training Techniques as his specialist areas.  Graham is a top level age group triathlete who still races at the highest level.

Herberts Cycles Whitstable  Club front page sponsor and great bike shop that sells real bikes! Herberts offer all members discount and great deals on new bikes. Visit Keith and his team to see what they offer Dealies.
George Holmes Cycle Technician George has been an active Club members from Junior to Senior and is a fully qualified CYTECH Level 2 cycle mechanic with major trade accounts.  He works from Kingsdown, near Deal and can service, repair or build any type of bicycle.  Supplies of winter tyres and mudguards in stock. George also supplies Torq Energy Products at discount prices to Club members.

Sports Massage and Physiotherapy
Paul Strutt is a very active member of Deal Tri and understands the stresses and strains that training and competing can have on our bodies and would therefore like to offer all fellow members £5 discount on any treatment with him at his clinic in Martin Mill. 
The Partnership - Paul Massey  The Partnership Centre is in Ashford where member Paul Massey and his team provide physiotherapy, pilates and other estential body repairs.  Paul has been the physio of choice for the GB Olympic swimming team for many years.

Local Clubs and Friends
VC Deal Cycle Club  Local Deal cycle only club with great cross links to Deal Tri.  Very good Junior cycling section, regular summer 10 mile club time trials and the must try summer Tuesday evening road race training at Fowlmead Country Park.

Spinwheels  Spin Wheels is a site that is dedicated to promoting cycling events in the South East of England. The aim is to cater for all cyclists, whatever level, that wish to participate in Charity Rides, and cycling challenges.

VISTA LEISURE Dover and Deal Sports Centres   Deal Tri members can enjoy Corporate Membership benefits with Vista in both Dover Sports Centre and Tides in Deal.  This means a healthy discount on membership (saving you admission fees each time you visit) through to discounts on direct debit membership. Contact their Corporate Membership Officer and produce your Current Membership card to qualify.  
ACTiV SPORTS    Folkestone based sports Lifestyle shop that sells everything from bikes to Oakleys. Offers our members a Loyalty program.

RUNNERS RETREAT Sponsors of the Deal Half Marathon for several years, subsidising the vouchers we give as prizes.  They provide a good friendly service to fellow competitors, triathletes and leisure walkers.  Contact them regarding Garmin, High 5, Nathan or Newline products to name but a few.

 

Pubs, Bars and Restaurants
Cullins Yard Restaurant  The venue of choice for the Deal Tri Christmas Dinner and Social for the last 3 years.  Jim Gleeson is a Director of the Club and offers a fine selection of food and beers from his dockside premises.

The Chance Inn - Guston  The site of regular Deal Tri Committee meetings for more years than we care to remember.  Roger Morris, the Landlord, has supported Deal Tri both financially with Race Sponsorship and with great beers and food at various functions over the years.
