Simon Read
Belated Big 50th Birthday Greetings to Club “do everything with an un natural energy and enthusiasm” Simon Read who reached the big 50 on the 24th January. Apologies we missed it on the day, so hopefully you had a great time. Simon is one of the people in Deal Tri who does so much in the back ground, often without thanks or recognition whilst running numerous marathons throughout the year. Simon and his family can also be credited with rejuvenating the very popular Friday Junior running sessions, so next time you see him, buy him a pint or two!
Simon was born when the totally forgettable “What do you want to make those eyes at me for” by Emile Ford and the Checkmates was in mid 6 week position at the top of the charts.

Happy Birthday Simon, you kept that one quiet! Hope you had a good one, and enjoy the next decade.

Happy birthday, Simon. Maybe time now to start putting some effort into your marathon campaigns: not sure your heart is really in it
