P and O Ferries Dover Half Marathon- POSTPONED

With much regret our Race Director, Jill Cliff and her team have decided after another route inspection this morning that our P and O Half Marathon due to be held on 14th February must be postponed. The Dover district was hit with heavy snow falls on Thursday and unfortunately much of the residue remains in the lanes around the course and head quarters. There is much ice and snow showers forecast overnight Saturday. Some sections are still impassable by car, thus it would be irresponsible to continue with preparations to hold the race. This is a picture of the course from early this morning.
We are in discussions with all parties to re-schedule the race, and we will contact everyone as soon as we can confirm news.
We would appreciate everyone’s help in spreading the news as many people are travelling from areas of the country that are unaffected by the snow and ice.
