Shaun & Gordon both beat 3:00 Marathon

Shaun Chandler running in the Abingdon Marathon today finished sub 2:45 for the 26.2miles. A fantastic time! More details when I get them. Shaun was taking part in the Army Championships which were held within the race. Shaun had just put his feet up for 8 minutes when the next Dealie, Gordon Findlay flew in with a 2:53:05! Here is Gordon’s race report:
“I ran the Abingdon Marathon today, and finished in 2 53 05, 43rd place on the provisional finish times. I ran a blinder in great conditions (no wind, but a wee bit cold), with a pb by 5 mins 45. Went through half in 1 26 00. 10 mile split was 1 05 40, and 20 miles was 2 11 22, so pretty consistent! It was a brilliantly organised and marshalled event, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fast time- much better than London, given its smaller scale.”
